MSNBC Host Comments On News Commentator
Scott Jennings doesn’t often make headlines himself — he usually analyzes them. But when MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell decided to launch into a multi-minute, name-heavy rant against the CNN contributor, he inadvertently did something more revealing than insulting: he confirmed Jennings’ relevance and effectiveness.
O’Donnell’s meltdown was personal, theatrical, and strikingly devoid of substance. He accused Jennings of “lying for Trump” on CNN — regularly, enthusiastically, and for profit — yet offered no direct rebuttal to any of Jennings’ actual claims. There were no receipts. No point-by-point analysis. Just name-calling and angry monologues masquerading as media critique.
MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell appears to suffer an on-air psychotic break over the fact that @ScottJenningsKY is being paid to express his opinions on CNN:
“CNN eagerly pays a Trump supporter to lie every day and night for Donald Trump!”

If you watched the clip, you could almost hear the desperation between the lines. O’Donnell tried to paint Jennings as a sellout, a puppet, a podcast-hungry pundit who “figured out where the money is.” But underneath that was something more primal — frustration. Not just with Jennings, but with the fact that viewers are tuning out the O’Donnells of the world and turning toward people like Jennings, who bring facts to the table, not theatrical hysteria.
Jennings, to his credit, doesn’t traffic in volume. He traffics in clarity. He’s willing to be the lone voice of dissent on panels stacked with progressive pundits. He challenges narrative spin, and he often does it with a half-smirk, knowing full well what it costs to say what he says in left-leaning circles. That’s what makes him effective. That’s why he resonates. And that’s exactly why he’s under attack.
Behold, as @Lawrence O’Donnell proves there is no crime in D.C. as he offers up for evidence…how no National Guard troops appear in the scene at Union Station in a Jimmy Stewart movie from 1939.
And with that, Donald Trump is therefore DEBUNKED, we assume… pic.twitter.com/ntDUbvudak

But the irony? O’Donnell, who blasted Jennings for supposedly peddling falsehoods, has a decade-long track record of unchecked misinformation himself.
From unverified and later retracted claims about Trump’s loans being co-signed by Russian oligarchs, to conspiracy-laced narratives about Richard Grenell and Vladimir Putin, to laughable assertions like California being “underrepresented” in Congress, O’Donnell’s record reads like a highlight reel of broken media trust.
No, Lawrence, I do not have time to save your show. https://t.co/IHitdjp57O

He’s taken swings at everyone from Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas to Caitlyn Jenner, while frequently treating the Electoral College and the U.S. Constitution like outdated obstacles to progressive rule. And then there was the bizarre admission that he needed a “vacation” from covering Trump — as if doing his job was just too emotionally exhausting.
