Trump Makes Massive Move To Cut Red Tape With New AI Site
Trump unveiled the platform at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C. New York Post reported the launch event featured a chatbot designed to sound helpful. “Hello America – Whatever you need from government, start here,” is the greeting offered to visitors. Daily Wire noted the site pulls data from tens of thousands of federal webpages.
Instead of wandering through a maze of agency sites, users can type a simple query. Fox News reported the system generates chatbot-style responses to direct people. Trump stated that anyone familiar with Grok, Gemini, or ChatGPT will immediately grasp how to navigate America.gov. Washington Examiner quoted him calling it “one of the most revolutionary product launches of all time.”
The goal is speed and ease. “We’re making it dramatically easier, faster, and more convenient to get what you need exactly when you need it,” Trump said. The site currently answers questions and tells users how to finish tasks on their own.
More features are rolling out as agencies connect their systems. Daily Wire reported the State Department plans to rebuild the entire passport application process. By next year, Americans can apply for a passport entirely online. Required photos can be captured and submitted using a mobile phone.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio assured the audience, “No printing forms, no drugstore hostage photo, no appointment, no line, no middleman that you’re paying to do something that should be available to you.” Fox News noted Americans will also be able to enroll in Medicare on the site within the next year.
Trump said the site will eventually fill out forms and mail new cards. “Very soon, all she’ll have to do is ask America.gov and it’ll fill out the forms, track the progress and send her a new Social security card, passport and insurance card in the mail,” he said. U.S. Chief Design Officer Joe Gebbia stated that by 2027, citizens will track application statuses directly on the platform.
Trump signed an executive order on Tuesday to make this happen. Washington Examiner reported the order directs every federal agency to integrate their services with the new site immediately. The president claims Americans spend over 10 billion hours a year on government paperwork. “We’re giving those 10 billion hours back to the American people,” he said.
Rubio added that the platform aims to “make life better, easier, for normal Americans.” New York Post noted the site helps with everything from signing up for Social Security to booking a campsite. “Whether you’re a scout leader who wants to reserve a campsite at a national park, a senior citizen trying to choose a Medicare plan, or an American veteran trying to get the benefits that you’ve earned and so justly deserve, America.gov will be there to help,” Trump said.
The administration views this as a restoration of trust. “It’s a restoration of America’s founding promise and it’s a reinvention of your government for the 21st century and beyond,” Trump said. Power and control are being returned to the people, exactly where they belong. The digital shift is already underway, and the paperwork is finally getting shorter.
