Actress Comments Stir Debate
Disney’s live-action Snow White star Rachel Zegler didn’t hold back following Donald Trump’s re-election, taking to Instagram to share her disappointment with the election outcome and frustration with the direction of the country.
Zegler, currently starring in a modern Broadway adaptation of Romeo + Juliet, voiced her discontent during an intermission, condemning Trump and his supporters in a series of impassioned posts.
Opening with, “I find myself speechless in the midst of this,” Zegler expressed her sorrow over the election, describing a future she fears will be harder for women and young people. Screenshots of her posts reveal her feelings of heartbreak and frustration, particularly for those who feel uncertain or even fearful about what lies ahead.
She lamented the inability of the left to prevent Trump’s win, calling it a profound setback and expressing anger over the unexpectedly large margin by which he won.
Rachel Zegler hopes Trump supporters never know peace, tells her followers to get off X because Elon Musk supported Trump, and ends with- “Fuck Donald Trump.”

In one of her more controversial statements, Zegler invoked musician Ethel Cain’s sentiment, declaring, “May Trump supporters and Trump voters and Trump himself never know peace.” She also advised her followers to leave X, formerly Twitter, blaming Elon Musk for helping amplify Trump’s influence.
Her frustration extended to broader issues, as she described a “deep, deep sickness” she sees in the support for Trump, which she characterized as subscribing to a “false sense of security, of masculinity, of intelligence, of patriotism, and of humanity.”
After several posts that became increasingly heated, she reminded her followers of the importance of holding local officials accountable, specifically urging them to engage with their state governments to drive change.
Concluding her posts before returning to the stage, Zegler encouraged her followers to “love through these four years as best I can,” while punctuating her statement with, “F—k Donald Trump.”
